Alongside my performance work, I have maintained a steady passion and commitment to singing teaching and coaching for over ten years, working at many of the UK and Ireland's top drama schools and universities in addition to private lessons.

In my private studio I have worked with hundreds of clients of wildly varying experience levels, ages, backgrounds and goals. Every client is treated with respect and individual consideration- this is your chance to develop from wherever you are in your journey with your voice.

My Background

I received a first class honours joint degree in Drama, Theatre studies and Music from University College Cork

PG Diploma from Royal College of Music (classical voice)

PG Diploma from Royal Academy of Music (musical theatre)

Licentiate of Royal Academy of Music (teaching diploma)

Associate of Royal Academy of Music

15+ years of professional performing experience in the world of opera, musical theatre and voice over work.

My Approach

My background is in Bel Canto technique and the Estill model, but in my studio I work with clients on an individual and holistic basis and as such I am not wedded to any one 'technique'.

I am constantly working on my professional development in the world of voice science, pedagogy and performance psychology through seminars, workshops and singing lessons with some of the world's leading pedagogues.

I am committed to supporting clients of all backgrounds and identities as best I can and continue to educate myself in ways this can be furthered.

My Results

Past clients have gone on to achieve distinctions in ABRSM exams; study at top drama schools; secure leading parts in London's West End and tour globally as solo artists.

I have also worked with comedians; cabaret artists; drag artists; clients who wish to sing at friend's weddings; be more confident at karaoke or sing with a convent of Byzantine nuns who take a vow of silence apart from singing (yup!).

Others have no goals other than to give singing a go- all are welcome.

I love singing, and I want to ensure you do too.

Alison is a fantastic teacher who has been a massive help in preparing for my upcoming touring and recording. I would recommend her to anyone!

Robert O'Regan (student, CSM)

I can’t really call Alison anything but phenomenal! She makes you feel so comfortable in your lesson while also having such a huge understanding of singing. After one lesson with Alison I could already see an improvement in my own ability with some of the tips and tricks she gave me. Alison is such an amazing teacher that can really push you to where you need to be!

I could not recommend Alison highly enough, she is FANTASTIC at her job, patient, encouraging and brings out the best in your vocals. She finds exercises that suit you and really makes an effort to give you a tailored & individual experience. She's also the loveliest person which makes it all the more rewarding and enjoyable. 10/10

Alison has taught my daughter (age 13) for a couple of years now. She is a true professional - timely, hard working, engaging and enthusiastic. She helped my daughter not only with her singing, but also combined it with her acting, to create a positive overall outcome. We have seen a big change in our daughter's voice, tone, breathing and depth since starting with Alison. We would highly recommend her services.

Grace Frost (student, MTA)

Alison, is such a fantastic singing teacher who always tries to bring the best out in you - she made me feel comfortable working on parts of my voice I’m not so confident with!"
