Alongside my performing work, I have maintained a steady passion for singing teaching and coaching for over ten years. I love getting geeky with technique and I always aim to create a safe and encouraging environment that balances fun with results!

My background is in classical music and I pursued a career in opera until I was bitten by the musical theatre bug and went on to receive my PGDip in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music, where I also received my Licentiate in Musical Theatre Singing Teaching. I have attended courses and workshops in Estill and continue to update my own education on voice science and pedagogy through seminars, workshops and singing lessons with some of the world's leading pedagogues.

I have worked as a technical singing teacher at some of the UK's top drama schools, including Mountview, The Musical Theatre Academy, LAMDA and Urdang.

I love working with acting and musical theatre students to help them explore their voices in new, safe and replicable ways in order to tell stories the way they choose.

I have also worked with younger students at performing arts schools like Stagecoach, Razzamatazz, Dorothy Marshall Dance Studio, Spotlites Theatre and more, as well as time on the faculty of The Lady Eleanor Holles School for Girls.

In my private studio I have taught hundreds of students of wildly varying levels, ages and backgrounds. Every student is treated with respect and individual consideration- this is your chance to develop from wherever you are in your journey with your voice.

Past students have gone on to achieve distinctions in ABRSM exams; study at top drama schools; secure leading parts in London's West End and tour globally as solo artists.

I love singing, and I want to ensure you do too. If you are interested in 1:1 Zoom lessons please drop me a line. Sign up to the mailing list which is dedicated to teaching updates.

Alison is a fantastic teacher who has been a massive help in preparing for my upcoming touring and recording. I would recommend her to anyone!

I can’t really call Alison anything but phenomenal! She makes you feel so comfortable in your lesson while also having such a huge understanding of singing. After one lesson with Alison I could already see an improvement in my own ability with some of the tips and tricks she gave me. Alison is such an amazing teacher that can really push you to where you need to be!

I could not recommend Alison highly enough, she is FANTASTIC at her job, patient, encouraging and brings out the best in your vocals. She finds exercises that suit you and really makes an effort to give you a tailored & individual experience. She's also the loveliest person which makes it all the more rewarding and enjoyable. 10/10

Alison has taught my daughter (age 13) for a couple of years now. She is a true professional - timely, hard working, engaging and enthusiastic. She helped my daughter not only with her singing, but also combined it with her acting, to create a positive overall outcome. We have seen a big change in our daughter's voice, tone, breathing and depth since starting with Alison. We would highly recommend her services.

Alison, is such a fantastic singing teacher who always tries to bring the best out in you - she made me feel comfortable working on parts of my voice I’m not so confident with!"
